So this is what I mentioned earlier. 45 words in all. (And I'll list them in a moment). This was kind of inspired by different conversations with my friends. (VV, Bri, Random) and by reading journals from people I follow.
The black is all the bad, the different lines stabbing in are infecting and changing the heart. Cracking it. Making it broken. The silver is supposed to be like barbed wire, trying to fix yourself, or force yourself to be happy. The gold is like all the good things. A shield that will almost always work. It's the hope, love, all the things that are needed and wanted.
